Peter Bierer's Bio


Peter Bierer

Growing up in a faith-filled and artistic family, it was inevitable that Peter Bierer would use music to express and share his faith. At the age of 13, Peter first led music at a school liturgy, and his passion for music and ministry continued through high school and college. In that time Peter also led interdenominational worship groups, blues and rock bands and performed as a solo acoustic artist.

Peter Bierer Peter has performed on local, regional, national and international platforms including retreats, workshops, concerts and youth rallies, such as the 2006 and 2008 National Conference for Catholic Youth Ministry, the 2009 National Catholic Youth Conference, and World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney, Australia.

Peter currently works full time as the Coordinator of Youth Ministry at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato, MN where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He is also an adjunct staff member for the Center for Ministry (CMD) Development as a Prayer and Music Coordinator for Young Neighbors in Action, a summer service-learning experience, and is an author for CMD's Youth Ministry Access (www.cmdnet.org/access). Peter also leads a liturgical music group for the Minnesota State University, Mankato Catholic Newman Center.

Peter Bierer Peter attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities School of Music (2000-2005) and received his B.A. in Music from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

In 2003 he served on the National Evangelization Team (NET) in Australia as a parish team leader and team music leader at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Adelaide, South Australia.

Peter’s debut album, All Creation Groans, was released on November 1, 2008.
